Answer: Most certifications I’ve seen are offered online. A lot of degrees are offered online now too. I think you can get all the way up through a master’s degree in nutrition online, which is super helpful. I think it opens the door for more people to learn nutrition and have more time to be able to experience real world nutrition as well while they’re getting their degree. The certifications are usually online. I don’t know if I’ve seen many that are in person.

Answer: You can do a lot of the programs online. You can do nutrition degrees, you can do even your masters online, you can do your internship remotely, which is really cool. The only thing you have to think about with remote internships is that for the most part, you have to set up your own practicum so you can work with a remote program, but you still need to go into your rotations and things like that. They can just be in your area. So even if you apply to a remote program in Boston and you’re based in Colorado, you still need to make sure that you’ve set up your rotations with maybe Denver hospital or wherever you’re going.
